The Australian team has arrived in Lahore for their first match in the ICC Champions Trophy, and team member Adam Zampa has shared his thoughts on the security arrangements.
He stated that the environment has been made extremely secure and that upon arrival in Lahore, they were escorted under strict security measures.
Continuing his remarks, Zampa mentioned that the team was transported in minibusses with the entire city locked down to ensure their safe movement from one place to another.
He added that there is heavy security around the hotel, but the team enjoys an open-door policy, allowing them to interact, play games, and even get haircuts.
Zampa also highlighted that the team spends a lot of time over coffee, acknowledging that such tours can be tough but also help build team camaraderie.
Australian top-order batter Travis Head emphasized that they have made sure to take care of each other and enjoy each other’s company. He also expressed satisfaction with their training in Lahore, stating that everything has been going well.
It is worth noting that the ICC Champions Trophy Group B match between Australia and England will take place tomorrow at Gaddafi Stadium.
