The team will be without two important players
Afghanistan has announced its squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, scheduled from November 6 to 11 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
The team will be without two important players: Ibrahim Zadran, who is recovering from ankle surgery, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who is out due to a finger injury.
Sediqullah Atal, a left-hand batter, has been called up to replace Zadran. Atal has played six T20 internationals and is currently the top run-scorer in the Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Noor Ahmad, who missed the recent ODI series against South Africa, has been brought back to strengthen the spin attack. The rest of the squad remains the same as Afghanistan's previous series, where they won 2-1 against South Africa in Sharjah.
ACB CEO Naseeb Khan emphasized the importance of the series, saying, "ODI cricket remains a top priority as we prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy."
