Their first match in the Champions Trophy will be against South Africa on February 21, which will take place in Karachi
The Afghanistan cricket team has arrived in Lahore for the ICC Champions Trophy, which is set to begin on 19th february.
Led by captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, the team landed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, after traveling from Dubai.
Officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) were present at the airport to welcome the team. From there, they were escorted to their hotel under strict security.
The Afghanistan team will take the day off on Wednesday to rest and prepare for their upcoming matches. Their first match in the Champions Trophy will be against South Africa on February 21, which will take place in Karachi.
