Former captain Shahid Afridi responded to Pakistan's record-breaking victory against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Cup 2023 on Tuesday.
Afridi released a statement on social media praising the splendid batting performance of the Pakistani batters that led them to victory.

Former West Indies pacer Ian Bishop also praised the Men in Green after their win over Sri Lanka.

It is worth noting that Pakistan successfully chased Sri Lanka's target of 345 runs with four wickets remaining in the 49th over in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Abdullah Shafique scored 113 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan made 131 runs, which played a pivotal role in Pakistan's victory.
