Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has claimed that his foundation along with a joint effort from Mega Stars League (MSL) has provided support to former international cricketers, ailing Zulqarnain Haider and Nadeem Ghauri.
Zulqarnain's story was highlighted on social media in recent weeks where his picture made the rounds on social media due to his apparent deteriorated health.
It was revealed that the former wicketkeeper had suffered a serious stomach infection and he had to go through surgery, which put a strain on not only his financial situation but also his health.
Afridi took it to Twitter to announce that his foundation and MLS have both collaborated to extend support to the former players.
Saqlain Mushtaq and another member of Shahid Afridi's foundation were seen alongside Zulqarnain and Nadeem.

HopeNotOut https://t.co/nQMOOifais
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also took notice of the situation and after his story surfaced on the media, financial support was sent towards Zulqarnain's way. The board then took on the responsibility as part of their efforts to cater to the needs of former cricketers, something which Ramiz Raja has been adamant about.
