Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad has expressed his views on the selection of players for the New Zealand tour, stating that while Salman Ali Agha is a good player, he finds it difficult to see him fitting into T20I cricket.

"Salman Ali Agha is a good player, but it is difficult for him to make a place in T20 cricket, yet he has been made the captain," said Ahmed Shehzad.

Ahmed Shehzad made these comments during a charity event in Lahore, where he, along with former Test cricketers Mohammad Amir and Rashid Latif.

Speaking to the media, Shehzad took a dig at the team selection for the New Zealand tour, saying, "There has been no change in the team that lost in the ICC Champions Trophy."

He further criticized the mindset of the selectors, saying, "It seems that some players are untouchable. The cricket board should have made public decisions instead."

The former cricketers agreed that for the betterment of Pakistan cricket, the culture of favoritism needs to be eliminated, and decisions should be made purely on merit.
