Raza has an extensive umpiring portfolio
Ahsan Raza, the only Pakistani umpire in the ICC Elite Panel, has reached a significant milestone in his career, becoming the first umpire to supervise 100 T20 matches. This achievement was marked during the ongoing T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.
Raza's 100th T20 match as a professional umpire was the fixture between West Indies and Papua New Guinea. This match highlighted his long-standing contribution to the game, where he has officiated as an on-field umpire in 77 matches and served as a TV umpire in 25 matches. His total now stands at an impressive 102 T20 matches, making him the first umpire globally to reach this landmark.
In addition to his T20 achievements, Raza has an extensive umpiring portfolio that includes 72 One Day Internationals. His umpiring skills were also showcased last year when he officiated in the prestigious Ashes series between Australia and England for the first time. To date, he has supervised 22 Test matches, further solidifying his reputation as a top umpire.
Lastly, ICC officials, fellow umpires, and members of his club, P&T Gymkhana, have extended their congratulations. Notable figures such as Azhar Zaidi, the driving force behind P&T Gymkhana, former PCB chairman Khalid Mahmood, and esteemed umpire Aleem Dar have all expressed their best wishes and congratulatory messages.
