Cricket fans will have a unique and enhanced experience during the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, thanks to the groundbreaking use of artificial intelligence (AI) across the ICC’s digital platforms. The tournament, returning for the first time since 2017, will feature the top eight men’s ODI teams competing across four venues in Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

In partnership with NEAR Protocol, the ICC is utilizing AI to change how fans interact with the tournament. The new ICC Recapped feature will track fan engagement, including match predictions, player-of-the-match voting, and other interactions across the ICC’s digital products. The AI engine will analyze fan behavior throughout the tournament to create personalized records of each fan’s activity.

At the end of the Champions Trophy, fans will receive a recap detailing how accurate their predictions were, which players they voted for most, and other fun insights about their tournament experience. This personalized recap will provide a unique way for fans to relive their Champions Trophy journey.

The ICC website will feature an interactive redictor game, where fans can test their cricket knowledge by predicting outcomes, including the Aramco Player of the Match. Additionally, a new game called Top Picks will challenge users to pick the best performers in each game, but with a twist – they can only select each player once throughout the tournament.

The popular fantasy game SuperTeam, powered by FanCraze, will return, allowing fans to build teams using ICC Crictos and compete in daily contests for amazing rewards. This year, SuperTeam will also introduce new mini-games like Quests, which offer rewards for collecting specific types of Crictos.

For the first time, the ICC will provide short-form match highlights with Hindi commentary on its Hindi-specific social media channels. Fans can also visit the official ICC website and app to access all tournament information, live scores, statistics, player features, expert analysis, and daily preview shows.

Finn Bradshaw, the ICC’s Head of Digital, shared his excitement, stating, "The ICC is expanding its digital offerings to make fans more immersed in the 2025 Champions Trophy. With AI, we are able to create personalized experiences for millions of fans around the world. We look forward to seeing how fans engage with our new digital products during the tournament."

The 2025 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy will kick off at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match.
