Pakistan’s legendary former fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar, through a tweet on Saturday, ripped apart the Pakistan bowlers after their poor showing against Australia on the second day of the second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

The Rawalpindi Express stated that the Men in Green’s bowlers were clueless on how to take wickets in these conditions.

“Clueless how to take wickets of these tracks,” Akhtar tweeted. “Waiting for Australia to declare or just gift wickets. Asay nahi hota bhai! (This is not the way).”

The visitors lost the first match and needed to put in a rejuvenated performance for a chance to level the series. Pakistan bowlers however were found wanting as Australia’s batsmen pillaged massive scores to guide their side to a dominant 589 for the loss of three wickets before declaring.

Batsmen David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne were the best performers for Australia and wore down the Men in Green’s bowlers. Warner scored 335 runs while Labuschagne scored 162 runs.
