England international and Islamabad United opener Alex Hales has scored back-to-back half-centuries in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) and has fired a warning ahead of the seventh edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Islamabad United fans have expressed their delight as Hales has found his form as he struggled massively since December.

A number of concerns were raised about Hales as he only managed to score 126 runs in seven innings for Thunders.

Resurgence of Hales' form

After a struggling period, the opener has once again found his feet as he scored two convincing half-centuries against Renegades and Hurricanes, helping his team register a victory in both matches.

Against Renegades, Hales scored 63 off 28 balls with a strike rate of 225.00. In the latest match against Hurricanes, Hales scored an unbeaten 80* from 56 deliveries which included 11 boundaries and one maximum.

The right-arm batter has featured for Islamabad United 19 times and will prove to be a key in the franchises' upcoming campaign in PSL 2022.

The seventh edition of PSL 7 is set to start from January 27.
