Taking to social media, Tareen criticised the organisers for what he called a lack of innovation and seriousness in the buildup to the landmark season
Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has expressed his disappointment over the way the upcoming tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League is being promoted.
Taking to social media, Tareen criticised the organisers for what he called a lack of innovation and seriousness in the buildup to the landmark season.
“How’s PSL 10 bigger and better?” he questioned. “It is sad to see what’s happening to a successful brand. We’re literally unveiling the trophy on Jeeto Pakistan - what’s next? Giving a water cooler to the winner?”
He further said that nothing feels upgraded or special about the tournament’s tenth season. “It wouldn’t be the biggest PSL because everything’s same as last year,” he added.
Tareen's remarks have sparked a debate among fans and experts, with many agreeing that the PSL deserves a grander platform for its promotional events, especially in its milestone edition.
The PSL 10 is scheduled to kick off later this month, with matches to be held across major cities in Pakistan.
