Pakistan's fast bowler Mohammad Amir addressed the media in a press conference on Wednesday, expressing confidence and readiness as the team gears up for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. 

Amir highlighted the challenges of ICC events and reiterated the team's commitment to excellence.

"ICC events are always a big challenge. We are prepared for all kinds of situations. I am hopeful for good performance," Amir said.

Amir emphasized the team's winning mentality. 

"We are here to win, we have to win every match," he further added.

Amir acknowledged the unpredictable nature of weather conditions but stressed the importance of adaptability. 

"Weather is not in our control; we have to consider every situation. We are mentally prepared," he affirmed,

Addressing the capabilities of his teammates, Amir spoke highly of Shadab Khan and Azam Khan. 

"No one doubts the abilities of Shadab and Azam. They can win a one-sided match on their day. They both need one good match to get back in form," Amir said.

As a senior player, Amir understands the importance of leadership and responsibility. 

"As a senior player, I have to fulfill the responsibility given by the team," he remarked. 

Amir also praised the significance of hosting a major cricket event in the USA. 

"It's a very good thing that a major cricket event is happening here. I wish to perform well here," he added.

Lastly, Amir acknowledged the consistent performances of his fellow fast bowlers. 

"Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi have been performing well for the past four years," he concluded.

It is worth noting that Pakistan is set to kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 journey with a match against USA at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.
