Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has tested positive for Covid-19 and the 29-year-old will now miss Abu Dhabi T10 League, scheduled to start from November 19.

Amir, who had to represent Bangla Tigers in the fifth edition of the league, said that he is on his road to recovery and urged fans for prayers.

Speaking to this correspondent, the left-arm pacer said his Covid-19 test returned positive on November 8 after which he confined himself to a room for isolation.

Amir plans to travel to Karachi on November 20 or 21 and then Dubai where he will prepare for the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

"The weather in Lahore is not good these days, so I don't want to take any further risk regarding my health," Amir said. "Alhamdulillah, the rest of the family members are completely fine," he added.
