Once again, the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy has slipped from the grasp of Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). They faced a tough exit from IPL 2024 after losing to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator on Wednesday.

RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower, praised Kohli for his ongoing passion for winning. Even after achieving so much in his career, Kohli remains hungry for more victories. This season, Kohli led the batting charts with 741 runs, including a century and five fifties. However, his great performance wasn't enough to push RCB to the next round.

Talking about Kohli’s efforts, Andy Flower expressed his admiration and excitement for Kohli’s future, especially the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

“Working in the same dressing room with him has been a real pleasure, as an ex-batsman it has been an absolute pleasure to watch him bat. The way he thinks about the game and he backs that up with an amazing level of skill, aggression and hunger. I look forward to watching him in the World Cup,” Flower said.

Flower also noted that Kohli continues to improve his game, even with his already impressive record.

“I think it's amazing that he is still evolving his game, even though he has got an incredible record already,” he further added.

It is worth noting that after defeating RCB, Rajasthan Royals are now set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024. The winner of this match will go on to play against Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.
