Former Test cricketer and Lahore Qalandars' coach Aqib Javed has termed it "immature" to question Shaheen Afridi's bowling action.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) chose Shaheen Afridi as Men's Cricketer of the Year and has established himself firmly as one of the best bowlers across the globe.
While speaking in an interview, Aqib Javed refuted all the doubts regarding Shaheen's bowling action.
"It is useless to doubt his [Shaheen] action. Such an immature statement about his bowling action," Aqib said.
"I remember Jason Roy complaining about his action. It happens in cricket when a bowler gets you out off the first delivery after you score a hundred in the previous match. It was just frustration of getting out, nothing else," he further added.
Earlier, legendary pacer Sarfaraz Nawaz also commented on Shaheen's bowling action and claimed that there is definite room for improvement.
"I have noticed it a lot of times, when Afridi bowls wrist delivery, his action becomes doubtful," Sarfaraz said.
"His coaches must notice this by watching his bowling clips. It is the right time to work on his action, otherwise, I fear, someday maybe his action gets reported," he added.
