Authorities are considering hosting a cricket match at Peshawar's Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium after two decades.

According to police officials, an ICC team recently visited the stadium to assess the feasibility of hosting a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.

The officials stated that the ICC delegation conducted a survey of the ground, pavilion, surrounding area, and hotel route for international players. Peshawar's police chief also briefed the ICC team on the security situation.

Police authorities revealed that plans include a shuttle service for spectators, drone camera monitoring, and a helipad near the stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering hosting two PSL matches in Peshawar in April.

Officials assured that satisfactory security arrangements would be made for international players.

It is worth noting that the last match played at Arbab Niaz Stadium took place in 2006 between Pakistan and India.
