As the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction approaches, significant changes might be on the horizon for the Gujarat Titans, and not just among the players.

Media reports suggest that Ashish Nehra, the current head coach of the franchise, could be facing an uncertain future as the team considers a major shake-up of its coaching staff.

According to a media report, CVC Capital, the owner of the Gujarat Titans, is contemplating a revamp of their coaching team ahead of the upcoming season. This potential overhaul could see the departure of key figures, including Vikram Solanki, the Director of Cricket, and Ashish Nehra, who has served as head coach since the team’s inception. Gary Kirsten, who was the team's mentor and batting coach, has already left to join the Pakistan national team, which may have triggered the possibility of more changes.

Despite the Titans' success under their current leadership—winning the IPL title in 2022 and finishing as runners-up in 2023—there have been rumblings of dissatisfaction. Insiders suggest that some players were unhappy with Nehra’s coaching style and methods. While Nehra played a crucial role in the team’s early achievements, including guiding Mohit Sharma during the 2023 final, his influence appeared to wane during the 2024 season, leading to speculation about his future with the team.

The Titans' management, with connections in the UK, Mumbai, and Singapore, is reportedly weighing their options carefully as they prepare for the mega auction. While Solanki might retain his position, Nehra's role as head coach seems less secure, with the franchise possibly looking for fresh leadership to guide them in the next IPL season.
