Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was among other members of the Indian team who met up with Shaheen Afridi at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket Academy in Dubai on Thursday.

Along with Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul all extended the courtesy to inquire about Shaheen's absence from the Asia Cup 2022 due to a knee injury.

Pakistan and India are set to go toe-to-toe in a highly anticipated opening game for the Men in Green. The last time both teams clashed, Pakistan outshined their arch-rivals and registered an astonishing 10-wicket victory at the same venue last year.

The PCB shared a small video of the players warmly greeting each other and chatting.

Shaheen's injury has forced him out of the tournament due to a knee injury that he picked up during the Sri Lanka series and Mohammad Hasnain was announced as his replacement.

In the spirit of unity, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz were also seen greeting and chatting with Sri Lankan players.
