The schedule for the highly-anticipated Asia Cup 2022 has been announced as Sri Lanka faces off against Afghanistan in the opening match on August 27.
Pakistan's contest against India will be the second match of the tournament on August 28 as part of the Group A fixture.

UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong will all play a qualifying round and the winner of this qualifying round will join the other five teams namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
The six teams are divided in two groups; Group A contains India, Pakistan, and the qualifying team whereas Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will be part of Group B.
