Hard-hitting batsman’s daughter was being treated for cancer in US
Pakistan batsman Asif Ali’s daughter lost her battle with stage IV cancer and passed away in a hospital in United States (US) on Sunday.
Before his departure for the limited-overs series in England, Ali had announced on Twitter that he is sending his daughter for treatment to US.
My daughter is fighting the stage IV cancer and we are taking her to US for her treatment. A big shout out to @usembislamabad and @USCGLahore for issuing the visa to us within an hour. Special thanks to Mike, Elizabeth, Tanveer & @TalhaAisham Bhai. Keep my princess in your Duas!

The 27-year-old had also requested his fans to pray for his daughter while she was being treated for cancer.
Asif Ali had learnt about his daughter’s illness during the fourth edition of HBL Pakistan Super League and received massive support from his PSL franchise Islamabad United.
During a post-match press conference in HBLPSL, Islamabad United’s coach Dean Jones broke down in tears while talking about Asif Ali’s daughter.
Asif Ali is currently in England for the five-match one-day international (ODI) series between Pakistan and England.
