Former Bangladesh cricketer and renowned commentator, Athar Ali Khan has revealed his top four teams for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in India later this year in October.

While speaking to an Indian media outlet, he began by singling out Bangladesh as one of his top picks. He then confidently asserted that India is a strong contender to secure a spot in the semi-finals. Discussing the teams further, the ex-Bangladesh player expressed his belief in Australia's capabilities, stating that they possess a formidable team that stands a good chance of progressing to the semi-final stage. As for the fourth spot, he mentioned two potential contenders, Pakistan and England.

“I have already told you about Bangladesh. India will surely make it. Australia too has a very good team. They have quality all-rounders and some very good fast bowlers. And in batting they bat deep and have powerful strikers. These are the three teams I will pick, and then it could be either Pakistan or England,” told Athar Ali Khan when asked about the four semi-finalists.

The ICC World Cup 2023 is slated to take place in India during October and November, featuring a total of 10 participating teams. The tournament is set to kick off on October 5, with the final match scheduled for November 19.
