Australia faces major setback ahead of ICC Champions Trophy semi-final

The ICC's Event Technical Committee has approved the change in the Australian squad

Ahead of the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy, Australia has suffered another blow. Australian batter Matthew Short has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.

Short sustained an injury to his leg earlier this week and will no longer be part of the squad. In his place, Australia has called up Cooper Connolly, who has represented Australia in three One-Day International matches.

The ICC's Event Technical Committee has approved the change in the Australian squad.

It is important to note that the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy will be played tomorrow between Australia and India in Dubai, while the second semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa will take place on March 5th at Gaddafi Stadium. The final of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday.
