Australia have made two changes to their 16-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against the West Indies, starting July 21 in the Caribbean.

Opener Jake Fraser-McGurk and fast bowler Xavier Bartlett have been added to the squad, replacing Spencer Johnson and Josh Hazlewood. Johnson is recovering from a back injury, while Hazlewood will return home to prepare for Australia's upcoming series against South Africa.

Fraser-McGurk, who recently missed out on a central contract, has impressed in domestic and franchise cricket and will be keen to make his mark in the T20 format. Bartlett, on the other hand, has been rewarded for his consistent performances with the ball and continues to rise in Australia’s pace ranks.

Australia, currently in strong T20 form with 12 wins in their last 14 matches, view this series as important preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Mitchell Marsh will captain the squad, which includes a mix of experienced names and emerging talent. Senior players like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Travis Head will return home following the conclusion of the Test series against the West Indies and are not part of the T20I squad.

The first two T20Is will be played in Kingston while the last three matches will be held in Basseterre.
