Pakistan wicket-keeper batter, Azam Khan, showcased his prowess while representing the Mississauga Panthers against Brampton Wolves in the opening match of the Global T20 Canada on Thursday.

Khan stood out as a lone warrior with the bat, as his teammates struggled to contribute vital runs and kept losing wickets in the early stages of the game.

After being asked to bat first, the Panthers could only muster a meager 121 runs in their first innings. The team faced a rapid loss of wickets and found themselves struggling at 85-5 before the completion of the 15th over.

The 24-year-old displayed exceptional batting skills, crafting a brilliant 65-run innings off just 55 deliveries, which included five boundaries and three sixes, showcasing a healthy strike-rate of 118.18.
