Babar Azam was among four Pakistan players who landed in Florida on Friday ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on August 8 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The former captain was joined by current skipper Mohammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafique, and fast bowler Naseem Shah. The group will link up with the rest of the squad before departing for Trinidad and Tobago following the conclusion of the T20I series.
The ODI matches will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on August 8, 10, and 12.
This series marks Babar Azam’s return to international cricket after last featuring for Pakistan in April during the series against New Zealand. The 30-year-old has not played a T20I since December 2024 against South Africa.
Rizwan’s last T20I appearance was also during that series. Both players are currently not part of the T20I setup.
Meanwhile, Pakistan made a strong start to the T20I series, securing a 14-run win over West Indies in the opening match at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium on Thursday.
