The Pakistani cricketers explored the offerings at the South City Mall in Kolkata, purchasing gifts for both their families and themselves
Pakistan captain Babar Azam, along with left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq, indulged in a shopping spree in Kolkata ahead of their crucial ICC World Cup 2023 match against England on Saturday.
The Pakistani cricketers explored the offerings at the South City Mall in Kolkata, purchasing gifts for both their families and themselves.
Babar, after a video call with his family, selected sarees for his family members with their approval. In addition to sarees, Babar and Imam also bought sunglasses, modern fashion attire, and various other items during their shopping excursion.
Previously joining the shopping extravaganza were Pakistani players Usama Mir, Mohammad Haris, and Wasim Junior, who visited a nearby shopping mall near their team hotel at Mani Square. The presence of these cricket stars generated excitement among shoppers and cricket fans, with locals expressing their support and warm wishes for the success of the Pakistan cricket team in the upcoming match.
Abdullah Shafique and Zaman Khan were also spotted enjoying the shopping experience in Kolkata. In a charming gesture, Abdullah and Usama Mir purchased sarees for their family members. Meanwhile, Zaman, Haris, and Wasim couldn't resist the allure of stylish clothing, adding to their shopping haul.
It is important to note that New Zealand's recent victory against Sri Lanka has made Pakistan's already challenging path to the World Cup semi-finals nearly impossible. To secure a spot, they would need a significant win over England in their last match. If Pakistan bats first, they must beat England by 287 runs. If they bowl first, they need to dismiss England for 50 runs and then chase the target in two overs or achieve a total of 100 runs in three overs.
