Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, is on the brink of achieving several major milestones in T20I cricket. As he gets ready for the upcoming matches, Babar is set to add more impressive records to his name.

Firstly, Babar needs just 45 runs to become the first Pakistani player to score 4000 runs in T20I cricket. This would make him the top run-scorer for Pakistan in this format, showing his outstanding skill and consistency.

Currently, Babar sits at 3955 runs, ranking third among the highest run-scorers in T20I cricket, just behind Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. To surpass Virat Kohli's total runs in T20Is, Babar needs only 82 more runs.

Most runs in T20I cricket:

  • Virat Kohli: 4037 (109 innings)
  • Rohit Sharma: 3974 (143)
  • Babar Azam: 3955 (110)

Lastly, with 48 more runs, Babar will be the only captain to score 2500 T20I runs. Achieving this feat would distinguish him not only as a top player but also as a leader who consistently contributes to his team's success.

It is worth noting that earlier during the T20I series against Ireland, Babar created a world record by becoming the most successful T20I captain with 45 wins, eclipsing the record held by Brian Masaba of Uganda, who had 44 wins as captain.
