Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam is upbeat ahead of his team’s opening match against arch-rivals India, during the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“Our morale is high and we want to make a positive start to the tournament by winning the opening game against India,” said Babar.
“Gaining momentum at the start of the tournament will help in improving confidence of the team,” he added.

The prolific right-hander also shed light on Pakistan’s opening pair for the mega event.
“I will open the innings with Rizwan during the World Cup but we can change our plans after looking at the conditions,” he said.
He also stressed on the importance of having veteran all-rounders Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez as part of the squad.
“Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are match-winners and their experience will help us on the field,” he concluded.
The mega event will take place between October 17 and November 14 in UAE and Oman.
