Pakistan's cricket captain, Babar Azam, has shared insights into the team's performance following their defeat in the second T20I against England at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham, on Saturday.

In a post-match conference, Babar acknowledged the team's mixed performance, highlighting both positive and challenging aspects of their play.

"Our bowlers bowled well. In batting, we had some moments but didn't finish well. Fakhar and I had a small partnership but after that, we couldn't build a partnership. A 40-50 partnership in the middle would have made it a different ball game," Babar said.

Addressing individual performances, the 29-year-old expressed confidence in Shadab Khan's abilities despite a challenging day on the field.

"Bad days sometimes come (on a player). The type of player Shadab is, we know he's one of our best players in batting, bowling, and especially in fielding. He will make a comeback," he said.

The Men in Green faced a tough loss in the second T20I against England. Batting first, England set a challenging target of 183 runs after losing seven wickets in their innings. In reply, the Men in Green struggled to maintain the momentum, eventually being bundled out for 160 runs in 19.2 overs, resulting in a 23-run defeat.

The third T20I clash is scheduled to take place in Cardiff on May 28th.
