Pakistan captain Babar Azam congratulated Mohammad Rizwan after the wicketkeeper-batsman was named among Wisden’s five Cricketers of the Year in the 2021 edition of the Wisden Almanack.

The other four cricketers to be named alongside Rizwan included Dom Sibley, Zak Crawley, Jason Holder and Darren Stevens. Rizwan is the 18th Pakistani cricketer to make it to the esteemed list.

Babar, in a Twitter post, praised the wicketkeeper and said he is proud of his aforementioned achievement.

“Congratulations Rizwan on bringing another prestigious title to Pakistan. We are all so proud of you,” wrote Babar.
