Pakistan’s star batter, Babar Azam, is on the brink of surpassing Shahid Afridi’s record for the most sixes in T20I cricket by a Pakistani player. With 72 sixes to his name, Babar is just one short of Afridi, who struck 73 sixes during his career. Babar will have the chance to break the record in today’s second T20I against South Africa in Centurion.

Mohammad Rizwan — 95 sixes  
Fakhar Zaman — 76 sixes  
Mohammad Hafeez — 76 sixes  
Shahid Afridi — 73 sixes  
Babar Azam — 72 sixes  

Following a narrow 11-run defeat in the first T20I, Pakistan will be eager to level the series in the second match. The third and final T20I will take place in Johannesburg tomorrow. 

After the T20I series, Pakistan will face South Africa in a three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be played on December 17 in Paarl, followed by matches in Cape Town and Johannesburg on December 19 and 22, respectively.

The two teams will also compete in a two-match Test series, with the first Test starting on December 26 in Centurion, and the second Test scheduled for January 3 in Cape Town.
