Pakistan all-format captain Babar Azam dropped one place to fourth position in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I batsmen rankings which were announced on Wednesday.

Australia’s captain Aaron Finch has risen to the second spot on the back of his performances in recently-concluded five-match series against New Zealand, overtaking Pakistan’s Babar and India’s KL Rahul. Meanwhile, England batsman Dawid Malan is clear at the top with 915 rating points.

The next highest-ranked Pakistan batsman after Babar is Mohammad Hafeez, who is ranked 42nd with 486 ratings points. The veteran all-rounder is going through a golden run with the bat, scoring his career best T20I score of 99* off 57 balls against New Zealand in his last series for Pakistan.

Pakistan is set to tour South Africa in April, where they will feature in four T20Is.
