Babar Azam unlikely to be included in T20 squad for New Zealand tour

Pakistan's cricket team is set to tour New Zealand for a series of five T20Is and three ODIs.

According to sources, Babar Azam is unlikely to be part of Pakistan’s T20 squad for the tour. Discussions have also begun regarding senior players taking a break from the series. However, no final decision has been made regarding Babar Azam’s inclusion in the ODI squad.

The team management has decided to include young players in the T20 squad for the New Zealand tour.

Meanwhile, players who have performed exceptionally well in domestic cricket recently met with the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan’s squad is scheduled to depart for New Zealand on March 12. The T20I series will commence on March 16, followed by a three-match ODI series starting on March 29.
