Babar said that since Covid is over, ICC should review the policies to provide relief to players
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has expressed that International Cricket Council (ICC) should review the Covid-19 restrictions post-pandemic.
Although the Covid-19 threat has not completely subsided but things are slowly getting back to how they used to be.
While speaking in an interview with a local media outlet, Babar Azam said that Covid-19 posed a lot of problems for players.
"Players often faced tough conditions during the Covid-19 era. Especially, bowlers, as they had to face a lot of restrictions on the ground," he said.
"As Covid-19 is over now, ICC should review their Covid-19 policies. Players should get relief now," he added.
Babar recalled tough times for his team during Covid-19. "We had to face a tough situation in New Zealand where our players were tested Covid-19 positive. In West Indies too, our players faced difficulties," he shared.
"Credit goes to players for giving their best despite Covid-19 restrictions. They need relaxation now," he concluded.
