Pakistan star batter, Babar Azam’s achievements have received special recognition as his bat will be displayed in the prestigious Long Room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The MCG authorities recently invited Babar to contribute a bat to the Long Room collection, and he has donated the bat he used in the 2022 T20 World Cup final against England.

Babar expressed his pride in this honor, noting, “It’s an incredible honor to have my bat displayed in the MCG Long Room alongside some of the greatest batsmen in history.”

The Long Room’s collection features legendary bats from cricket icons such as Don Bradman, David Boon, Jack Hobbs, and Brian Lara.

Reflecting on his connection to the ground, Babar shared, “I have many fond memories of the MCG; it is one of the finest stadiums in the world.” 

Babar Azam’s bat will now be showcased for visitors, adding to the legacy of this historic venue, where he competed in the 2022 T20 World Cup final.
