In response to news circulating on certain media platforms, Saya Corporation, representing Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, has vehemently denied reports suggesting that Babar engaged in clothing and jewelry shopping in India while participating in the ongoing World Cup 2023.

The rumors emerged on social media and some news outlets, claiming that Babar was spotted shopping in India during the tournament.

The reports said that Babar is believed to be getting married at the year-end of 2023 and will reportedly be wearing a sherwani designed by none other than ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Saya Corporation released a statement categorically refuting these claims.

In their official statement on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), they urged media outlets to exercise diligent fact-checking before participating in any sort of false news.

The statement reads, “We vehemently reject the utterly false reports circulating on certain media platforms suggesting that Kaptaan Babar Azam engaged in clothing and jewelry shopping in India amidst the ongoing World Cup. This news comes as a surprise to him as well. We categorically refute these baseless claims and implore such media outlets to exercise diligent fact-checking before participating in any dissemination of misinformation, disinformation, or propaganda. Thank you,”
