Latif also mentioned that he had objections to Imad Wasim's batting position in the team
Former Pakistan cricketer, Rashid Latif, has expressed his thoughts on Imad Wasim's comeback and the role of Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, in building the confidence of the all-rounder.
While being questioned regarding Imad being given only one over by captain, Latif also mentioned that he had objections to the all-rounder's batting position as well.
Imad came to bat at number seven and scored 16 runs in 13 balls, which included two fours.
"He [Imad] is making a comeback after two years, so he needs to be respected and given confidence," Latif said.
"I have my objections on Imad’s batting number. He should have come in place of Shadab Khan. Current form is very important and Imad was in great form [with bat] for Karachi Kings. He played at number four or five for his franchise," he added.
Babar didn't introduce Imad into the bowling attack until the 15th over.
It was, just when, crowd pulled loud carols of 'Imad ko over do' to which Imad also responded in a rather lighter manner.
