Babar opts to rest as Shadab leading Pakistan in warm-up game against England

Pakistan men's cricket team captain Babar Azam is not participating in the warm-up match against England at the Gabba in Brisbane.

In his absence, Vice-captain Shadab Khan will lead the side. Thirteen players are participating in the warm-up game. The players include Haider Ali, Shan Masood, Mohammad Nawaz, and Khushdil Shah.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan are also included. Fakhar Zaman will continue training as part of his rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, England have won the toss and opted to field.
