Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has held a meeting with its members along with skipper Babar Azam and Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq in order to finalise the details of centrally contracted players.

Babar Azam and Saqlain Mushtaq both have put forth the suggestion of a 20 percent salary increment in each category of the centrally contracted players.

Although the final decision rests with PCB and its members but since the board has commenced the process of allocating the annual budget for the year 2022-23 and the aim was to get input from the players themselves regarding their expectations.

Along with the salary increment, the meeting between crucial members also touched upon drafts for contracts, the overall budget allocation for salaries, and the categories of players.

Moreover, the board is also looking to revise the domestic central contracts. Budgets, classifications, monthly raises, and the number of players on domestic agreements will be evaluated by the board and then a final decision will be taken.

Reports also suggest that Shan Masood, who was not given a central contract last year, is likely to be included in the centrally contracted players expiring on June 30th.
