In the spirit of Ramadan, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and his deputy Shadab Khan both distributed Iftaar on the street of his hometown in Lahore on Thursday.

The video was shared on social media and it went viral hours after it was posted. This is not the first time Pakistan cricketers have shown random kinds of kindness as previously Abid Ali's video went viral where he was feeding the birds during the innings break of a Test match.

The right-hand batter was away from his home for a while as he was occupied with HBL Pakistan Super League 7 (PSL), followed by a home series against Australia.

Babar had an outstanding campaign against Australia after a miserable PSL campaign. He scored 390 runs at an average of 78, including a record-breaking 196 and two half-centuries in five innings.

Babar led from the front in the ODI's, scoring back to back centuries in a winning cause and bagged two consecutive Player of the Match and Player of the Series award for his 276 runs at an average of 138, including two centuries and one half-century.

The skipper of the Pakistan team was also the top run-getter in the one-off T20 match, where he scored 66 off 46 balls.

Babar Azam has a considerable fan base throughout Pakistan and particularly in Lahore. The fans love these kinds of gestures from their favorite star player.

The vice-captain of the Pakistan team, Shadab Khan, can also be seen in the video next to his sipper giving him a hand in distribution. The 23-year old all-rounder did not play any match against Australia in the home series due to injury.
