Babar, Shaheen attend opening ceremony of Ramazan Sports Series

Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi attended the opening ceremony of the Ramazan Sports Series, which was held at the Hockey Stadium Lahore and organized by Wahab Riaz, who is the Sports Advisor of the CM Punjab.

The duo attended the event following their training camp at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore and praised Wahab for organizing a fantastic event.

"This event will keep our youth involved in sports. The prize money is also good, which will help the players," said Shaheen.

During the event, Wahab expressed his gratitude towards Interim CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi for trusting him and allowing him to host the event. He also thanked the sponsors who provided their support, despite the short notice, to make the event successful.

Wahab mentioned that he aims to host similar events in the future and hopes that it would help in developing sports talent in Pakistan.

The event features various sports such as Hockey, Tape Ball Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Kabaddi.

The opening game of the tournament resulted in Lahore Division securing a 7-1 victory over Bahawalpur Division.

The Ramazan Sports Festival, which involves nine divisions of Punjab, will take place for five days until April 11.
