Pakistan cricket team has slipped down to number seven as Bangladesh moves above the Men in Green in the ICC Men ODI Rankings.

The Men in Green lost to Australia in the first ODI yesterday by 88 runs which allowed Bangladesh to be marginally ahead in the rankings.

Babar Azam's men lost their last ODI series against England 3-0 in July 2021 and haven’t played ODI cricket since then, In contrast to Bangladesh, who continues their impressive performance in the ODI format.

The Bengal Tigers have won four consecutive ODI series beating Sri Lanka (2-1) and Afghanistan (2-1) at home while whitewashing Zimbabwe away.

The recent achievement of the Bangladesh team was to defeat South Africa 2-1 for the first time in South Africa.

Pakistan and tied with Bangladesh at 93 rating points and is currently playing Australia at home and has a chance to jump up to number six by winning the remaining two games of the series.

Meanwhile, as per the ICC Men’s Cricket Super League standings, Pakistan currently stands at number 11 after gaining only 40 points in 10 matches with four wins and six losses.

Bangladesh leads the table with 120 points after winning 12 out of their 18 matches.
