Bangladesh’s Tanzim Hasan Sakib was penalized for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the ICC T20 World Cup match against Nepal. He received a fine amounting to 15 percent of his match fee and was given one demerit point.

The incident occurred during Nepal's third over of their innings when Tanzim delivered a ball and then made inappropriate physical contact with batter Rohit Paudel, displaying aggressive behavior.

This action was found to be in violation of Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which addresses inappropriate behavior or physical contact with players, support personnel, umpires, match referees, or spectators.

The charge was brought forth by on-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Sam Nogajski, with support from third umpire Jayaraman Madanagopal and fourth umpire Kumar Dharmasena. Tanzim admitted to the offense and accepted the sanctions imposed by match referee Richie Richardson.
