The Bangladesh men's cricket team is set to tour Sri Lanka in June 2025 for a full series that includes two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Monday.

This all-format tour is part of the men’s Future Tours Programme (FTP). The series will begin with two Test matches, to be held in Galle and Colombo from June 17 to 29. These matches will mark the start of both teams’ campaigns in the next cycle of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

Interestingly, this will be Sri Lanka’s only home series until mid-2026, while for Bangladesh, it is the only WTC series in the upcoming cycle. Bangladesh’s only other scheduled Test series is against Ireland, which is not part of the WTC.

Following the Test series, the three ODIs — all scheduled as day-night matches — will take place from July 2 to 8 at Khettarama and Pallekele.

The T20I leg of the tour will run from July 10 to 16, with matches in Pallekele, Dambulla, and Khettarama. These T20Is hold special importance for Sri Lanka, who will co-host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year alongside India. While the official venues for the tournament are yet to be confirmed, the three grounds being used for this series are likely to be among the main options.
