After making history by securing their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan, the Bangladesh cricket team arrived at Karachi Airport to head back home. Following their victory in the second Test in Rawalpindi, where they defeated Pakistan by six wickets, the team spent a night at a hotel in Karachi before departing.

In their final match, Bangladesh chased down 185 runs in 56 overs, with key contributions from Shakib Al Hasan, who scored 21, and Mushfiqur Rahim, who added 22, sealing the win and the series.

As the team prepared to leave Karachi, they were escorted to the airport under tight security. The players and officials were divided into two separate airplanes, with Najmul Hossain Shanto’s team set to return home after stopovers in Dubai and Doha.

The Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government personally congratulated Shanto on the team's historic achievement, expressing the nation's pride.

"Heartiest congratulations on behalf of the government and myself. The whole nation is proud of you," the Chief Adviser said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, reeling from five consecutive Test losses—three against Australia and two against Bangladesh—will look to regroup as they prepare for a busy cricketing schedule. Their upcoming assignments include a three-Test series against England in October, followed by a series of ODIs and T20Is against Australia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the West Indies. The schedule also features an ODI tri-series involving New Zealand and South Africa, culminating in the ICC Champions Trophy in February and March.a
