India will tour Bangladesh in August for a white-ball series featuring three T20Is and three ODIs
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has denied reports claiming that the upcoming series against India has been postponed.
In an official statement, the BCB dismissed concerns over India’s scheduled tour of Bangladesh, saying there is no uncertainty regarding the series.
These concerns arose following a statement made by a retired Bangladeshi military officer, which reportedly caused tension between the two countries. Indian media had suggested that the political situation might affect the tour plans.
However, BCB Chairman Najmul Abideen rejected such fears and assured that relations between the two cricket boards remain strong.
“There is a friendly relationship between the two boards. I am confident that the series will go ahead as per schedule,” he said.
India is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August for a white-ball series that includes three T20 internationals and three One Day Internationals (ODIs).
