Scotland set a target of 290-9, with Namibia falling 47 runs short on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method
Captain Richie Berrington surpassed 3,000 one-day international runs as Scotland narrowly defeated Namibia in a rain-impacted World Cup League 2 match.
At Forthill, Broughty Ferry, Scotland set a target of 290-9, with Namibia falling 47 runs short on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, finishing at 235-9 after 44 overs.
Opener George Munsey played a dynamic innings of 91 off 62 balls, though Scotland's middle order struggled, losing wickets frequently.
Brandon McMullen added 37, but at 209-8, Scotland's position seemed precarious. Nonetheless, Berrington steadied the ship, scoring a crucial unbeaten 79 and pushing his career total to 3,043 runs from 111 ODI innings.
Safyaan Sharif also played a key role, contributing 23 as the number 10 batter.
For Namibia, Michael van Lingen and captain Gerhard Erasmus scored 60 and 63, respectively.
Erasmus's departure at 213-6, followed by four consecutive wickets from Michael Leask, led to Namibia’s downfall as the weather conditions deteriorated.
