Renowned former West Indies cricketer and commentator Ian Bishop has showered praise on the talent displayed during the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.

Speaking on his social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter), Bishop expressed his admiration for the skills exhibited by players in the tournament, suggesting that Pakistan could emerge as a formidable team at the upcoming ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.

“The talent on show suggests Pakistan should be a formidable team at the ICC T20 CWC 2024. They have several wonderful bowling options and key players who have been part of the CPL in the Caribbean,” Bishop posted.

In a historic triumph, Islamabad United clinched the HBL PSL 9 title, solidifying their position as the only team to claim the PSL championship three times.

As the tournament concluded, attention shifted to standout individual performances that shaped the competition. Babar Azam of Peshawar Zalmi emerged as the leading run-scorer, amassing an impressive total of 569 runs from 11 innings.

Meanwhile, Usama Mir and Mohammad Ali from Multan Sultans stood out in the bowling department, claiming the top two spots for most wickets taken, further highlighting the depth of talent across teams in the PSL.
