Pakistan women's team skipper Bismah Maroof is playing the ICC Women's World Cup in New Zealand by example as she is leading the side with full determination and is also carrying her baby daughter, Fatima.

The 30-year-old is playing international cricket after childbirth in December 2020 and while playing her second match after comeback, she registered half-century and dedicated it to her seven-month-old daughter.

She celebrated her fifty with a cradle-style celebration while looking at her baby in the dressing room.

 

Meanwhile, she became the first Pakistani player to score a half-century against Australia in ODI World Cup. 

The left-hander remained unbeaten on 78. During her 122-ball knock, the skipper smashed eight boundaries and helped her team to reach a total of 190 for six.

It was not enough as Australia chased down the total in 35th over for the loss of three wickets. The Girls in Green will now face South Africa on March 11.

Remember, Pakistan lost to India in their opening match by 107 runs.
