England became a two-time T20 World Cup champion after winning the all-important final of the mega-event by five wickets against Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday.

Apart from his outstanding performance with the bat on the field, England captain Jos Buttler is being praised for another act that has touched the hearts of fans.

Celebrations began in the dressing room and on the field as Ben Stokes hit the winning runs for his team. When the team gathered for celebrations, skipper Jos Buttler was presented with the trophy, and champagne bottles were ready to pop.

Buttler, out of respect for his teammates' religious beliefs, asked Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid to step aside.

Buttler made a beautiful gesture by first participating in the team photo session and then reminding Ali and Rashid of the champagne celebrations so they could leave the field.

Fans praised him ever since a video of him doing the same went viral on social media.

A fan said on twitter, “Respect for religious diversity is essential to any peaceful society. Here England captain Jos Buttler asked Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali to leave before they celebrated with champagne. Respect.”

Last year, Australian cricketer Pat Cummins showed a similar gesture. Upon emerging victorious in the Ashes, Cummins stopped his teammates from opening the champagne bottle and called Usman Khwaja onto the stage for team pictures.
